Sebastian Stan Reportedly Set as Victor Zsasz in The Batman - Part II
The Batman - Part II is now in production under director Matt Reeves, with Robert Pattinson returning as Batman. Reeves confirmed nearly a dozen A-list cast members when filming began, among them Sebastian Stan. Insider Jeff Sneider has suggested Stan will portray Victor Zsasz rather than Harvey Dent, while Brian Tyree Henry is linked to the Dent role.
Zsasz was played on TV by Anthony Carrigan and on film by Tim Booth and Chris Messina, and Aaron Eckhart portrayed Harvey Dent in 2008's The Dark Knight. In DC Comics, Victor Zsasz is a sadomasochistic, psychopathic serial killer who carves a tally mark into his skin for each victim and arranges corpses in lifelike poses.
The character is driven by a belief that life is a meaningless cycle of pain; a similar self-mutilation motif appeared with Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger in Black Panther.
