Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Now Selling for $165 on Amazon
The Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is Samsung’s newest budget Android phone and one of the cheapest 5G models from a major brand. Amazon is selling it for $165, down from $200 — an 18% discount. It covers the essentials: a large Super AMOLED display, expandable storage via microSD, and 5G support that makes it usable on most major US carriers without locking you into a particular network plan.
Samsung also promises six years of software and security updates for the A17. The phone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen, a 5000mAh battery that can last a day of normal use, and 25W USB-C charging that brings the battery to about 50% in 30 minutes. On-device conveniences include NFC for tap-to-pay, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that doubles as the power button, and face unlock.
Camera performance is typical for the price: a 50-megapixel main sensor handles outdoor shots well, with additional macro and portrait sensors and a basic front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.
