Ryan Lochte engaged to girlfriend Molly Gillihan after 14 months of dating

Ryan Lochte and his girlfriend, Molly Gillihan, are engaged after 14 months together. The Olympic swimmer reportedly proposed at Prime and Pearl in Gainesville, Florida; photos obtained by TMZ show the couple kissing, Gillihan holding a ring box and red flower petals leading to a table decorated with roses and candles.

Gillihan, 38, appeared to be wearing an oval-shaped engagement ring with a gold band. The outlet noted the pair had their first date at the same restaurant. Lochte remains legally married to Kayla Reid; court documents obtained by Page Six show Reid filed for divorce in March 2025 after seven years of marriage.

Reid suggested “betrayal” played a role in the split and alleged he used drugs in front of their children, Caiden, Liv and Georgia. Lochte posted in September 2025 that he had gone to rehab and was “54 days sober,” writing, “I’m so happy right now, and the big reason is that I’m 54 days sober.
