One of the most recent war thrillers to reach theaters has found a new audience after its streaming debut. Nuremberg, an unconventional blend of war drama and legal thriller, examines a side of World War II and its figures that’s rarely seen and has climbed into Prime Video’s top 10.

The film centers on Hermann Göring, played by Russell Crowe, and Army psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek). Crowe’s charisma underpins a portrayal of Göring as a calculating manipulator who uses charm to unnerve those closest to him; the bond between doctor and patient blurs professional lines and takes a visible toll.

Audience reactions on Rotten Tomatoes highlight how unsettling the performance can be: "That was surely disturbing and I believe accurate. Really well done and fantastic casting. Crowe really nailed it," wrote @ThomasJohnLynch, while @MHZ18 added, "Göring is just as convincing as a loving husband and father, as he is as a monster.
