RTX 5070 Acer Nitro V 16S $1,200 at B&H is a tempting pre-Prime Day deal

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is nearly upon us, and early deals are already appearing. One that stands out is an RTX 5070-equipped Acer Nitro V 16S priced at $1,200 at B&H Photo, a notable find given how difficult sub-$1,500 RTX 5070 machines are to locate right now. The official Prime Day sales event begins on June 23.

As an S-line model, this Nitro is skinnier than many budget gaming laptops, though there is a caveat: the GPU has been power-limited to 85 W. At that wattage an RTX 5070 should still perform well, but the 1600p 165 Hz display means you’ll likely lean on DLSS and Frame Generation in demanding games to keep frame rates high.

Inside the chassis are a 10-core (six Performance, eight Efficient) Intel chip, 16 GB of DDR5, and a 1 TB SSD, and the machine is cheaper than many RTX 5060 laptops while offering more graphical grunt. The author says they’d be sorely tempted to pick one up now; while more RTX 5070 laptops may drop in price around Prime Day, they’d be surprised if many fall much below £1,200.
