Rosie O'Donnell reunites with daughter Chelsea in prison
Rosie O’Donnell posted a poem on Instagram after visiting her daughter Chelsea in prison and shared a photo of the two together. She described arriving early to a room that looked like a children’s nursery with Disney murals on cement walls and vending machines, then being told to sit at Table 8.
A guard explained the rules: a hug only at hello and goodbye, no money exchanged, hands above the table and no loud voices. When Chelsea arrived in a green inmate uniform, O’Donnell wrote her heart “skip[ped] a beat” and that Chelsea looked “good,” “healthy calm,” with “rested blue eyes” and “clear skin.” “We have been through so much,” O’Donnell wrote, noting that Chelsea’s four children — “3 girls and a boy” — had not visited her behind bars.
