ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 review: premium build, steep price
Like the Esports mouse launched alongside it, the Asus ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20 combines a stunning anniversary design with luxurious, premium build quality. It marks 20 years of the ROG brand and carries a $599.99 price tag, putting it clearly aimed at fans for whom money is no object.
The 75% hot‑swappable board wears a black-and-gold aesthetic and a bladed metallic texture on a full aluminium alloy chassis, with a small OLED display and switch in the top right for lighting control. Turning it over reveals detachable magnetic feet of differing heights, a removable 24K gold‑plated, laser‑engraved ROG nameplate, a USB dongle and a paddle switch for the adjustable gasket mount.
The adjustable gasket switch tunes the typing feel, while a carbon fibre positioning plate and a three‑layer dampening system—two PORON layers over a silicone pad—reduce vibrations and switch ping.
