Robbie Fowler urges Liverpool to consider Christian Pulisic as Salah successor
Liverpool are searching for a successor to Mohamed Salah, with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande emerging as a primary target after an £86 million bid, but former striker Robbie Fowler has urged the club to consider AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic. Fowler wrote on X: "Plenty of rumours about as to who’s going to LFC, one name I’ve not seen mentioned is Pulisic… Good age, played in the Premier League, exciting player, I’d take him.
Potentially a Salah type of pathway, thoughts?" Pulisic has revitalised his career in Italy since leaving Chelsea in 2023, becoming a regular influence for Milan from both flanks. He has scored 42 goals and provided 27 assists in 134 appearances, a consistency that contrasts with his injury-hit final years at Stamford Bridge and has made him a dangerous player in the final third.
Other former players have also suggested a Premier League return. Paul Parker said a move to Manchester United would make Pulisic "one of the most famous American footballers ever" and argued the club should keep that option alive.
