Resident Evil Veronica tops Steam wishlists after Summer Game Fest

Steam wishlist data shows Capcom's Resident Evil Veronica was the most popular game revealed across recent Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and Summer Game Fest showcases, drawing 803,000 wishlists. It had more than 300,000 additional wishlists than ArenaNet's Guild Wars 3 (496,000) and Panache Digital Games' 1666: Amsterdam (494,000), which finished second and third on the list.

Marketing analytics from LevelUp, as shared by The Game Business, placed Veronica as the third top-performing title for trailer performance, community engagement and press coverage, trailing first-party exclusives such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's remake and God of War: Laufey.

Several factors likely helped its popularity: it opened the main Summer Game Fest showcase, Resident Evil Requiem recently launched and has sold quite well while earning strong reviews, and Capcom revealed relatively little about Veronica at first.
