Newly appointed Xbox CEO Asha Sharma suggested Xbox would likely remove competitors' logos from future showcases. As part of its multiplatform push, Xbox has been including competing platforms' logos when a game featured in an Xbox Games Showcase or Partner Preview was coming to PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch.

The Xbox Games Showcase, which will air on June 7 and feature games coming to PS5 like Fable, will do the same. On May 29, popular Xbox-focused X account Klobrille voiced disappointment, and Sharma responded that including competing platforms' logos "was a miss" and that Microsoft is "talking about how we adjust for future Xbox shows." Removing logos may win the gratitude of hardcore fans online gunning for another console war with PlayStation, but it's questionable whether such reactive moves help Xbox over the long term.
