Former Leeds boss and Everton midfielder Peter Reid has singled out the three biggest strengths of Dominic Calvert‑Lewin, praising the forward as a joy to watch. Reid said: “Whatever you say, the kid can score goals. He's around the box, he's always on the move, he's always on shoulders - I like those strikers, six yards, boom, goal.” Calvert‑Lewin left Everton as a free agent after nine years on Merseyside, where he scored 71 goals in 273 appearances.

Injuries hampered his later seasons, with appearances falling below his earlier 40‑game runs and double‑figure Premier League tallies proving elusive in recent years. He got back on track in 2025‑26, featuring 39 times across all competitions and registering 15 goals, 14 of them in top‑flight action.
