Rayman Legends Retold remake confirmed by Ubisoft
Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends Retold during PlayStation's June 2026 State of Play. The total reimagining of 2013’s Rayman Legends launches Oct. 1 for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. Co-developed by Ubisoft Milan and Montpellier, the remake is rebuilt in the Snowdrop engine.
That engine brings an overhauled art direction, more realistic lighting, new 3D cutscenes and full voice acting across eight language options. Backgrounds show greater depth and detail, giving levels a stronger sense of place while keeping the series' cartoon character.
Retold adds a sixth world with five levels and a new final boss, all playable in four-player co-op, plus extra music stages, an evolved Kung Foot minigame and expanded Cave of Trials options. It also introduces Dragon Rides—3D shoot-’em-up levels at the end of each world where Rayman dodges obstacles, fires fireballs and carries Teensies that can be lost when you take hits.
