A ray of hope for PC builders — favorite motherboard bundled with 32GB RAM
PC gamers hoping to upgrade their rigs are facing a lean Prime Day as RAM shortages push up prices and reduce stock. Newegg's FantasTech early offering, which includes a price guarantee for the remainder of the sale, is listing motherboard bundles that could help secure the specifications builders want.
One bundle pairs a well-regarded MSI motherboard with 32GB of DDR5 from a major brand. The board stood out in a recent build for its quality-of-life features: an easy-to-access M.2 port that releases at the push of a button and a GPU release catch relocated to the side so fingers don't have to be squeezed under the card.
That X870 board provides access to AMD's Ryzen 7000, 8000G and 9000 CPU series and leaves room for upgrades, with AM5 support extended through 2029. For Intel builders, Newegg also listed a bundle with an ASRock Z890 Pro RS, 32GB of G.Skill Trident RGB and an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus for $769.99, a saving of $229.98.
