Rafael Leao offered nearly double AC Milan salary as he weighs exit
Rafael Leao looks increasingly likely to end his time in Serie A as Galatasaray emerge as the leading contenders for his signature. The Turkish side have presented a contract that would see the winger earn €10 million per season plus bonuses, nearly double the €5.5m plus performance-related add-ons he currently receives at AC Milan.
The 26-year-old has struggled for consistency and fitness during a difficult season, which ended in final-day heartbreak as Milan finished fifth and missed out on Champions League qualification. Speaking on international duty before flying to the United States for the World Cup, Leao said: "I have given everything; I want a new challenge in another league." Galatasaray's ambition is clear: the club have previously lured high-profile attackers from Italy, including Mauro Icardi and Victor Osimhen, and are positioning Leao as a potential marquee arrival.
