Quentin Tarantino and Kylie Minogue were in the Welsh seaside town of Porthcawl to film a new movie by Jamie Adams.

A photograph taken at Porthcawl’s Saltwater Inn shows the pair laughing and singing together for a scene set during a wake, and they were later filmed at a church in the nearby village of Newton for a funeral scene.

Tarantino was also seen on Friday in Cardiff’s Parkgate Hotel, having a drink with members of the film crew.

The project is a new film by Adams; he previously cast Tarantino in Only What We Carry, which premiered on 6 June at the Tribeca film festival. That film, described as an improvisational drama shot in six days on the Normandy coast, stars Charlotte Gainsbourg and Simon Pegg, with Tarantino in a small role as a "wealthy benefactor". Adams said he sent Tarantino the script, then met him over Zoom and persuaded him to appear: "Once you hear his voice, you’re transported. It’s like Disneyland for film-makers."
