Paris Saint-Germain have identified Strasbourg defender Guela Doue as an option to bolster their right-back depth ahead of the new season. Sporting director Luis Campos reopened the search after failing to recruit a specialist deputy last summer, with the club previously deploying midfielders Warren Zaire-Emery and Joao Neves as makeshift cover.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an outstanding campaign in Alsace following a contract that runs until June 2029. A former Rennes player, he registered two goals and seven assists in 34 appearances as he established himself as a reliable Ligue 1 performer. Doue’s ability to play as a traditional full-back, slot into central defence or tuck into midfield suits Luis Enrique’s tactical demands.

His stock rose further after three appearances for the Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, starting wins over Ecuador and Curacao and coming on as a late substitute against Germany, drawing attention from heavyweights such as Borussia Dortmund.
