Access to Project Genie is rolling out to AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. (18+). The experimental research prototype lets users create, explore and remix interactive worlds using text prompts and images, and to navigate them in real time. Genie 3 is a world model that generates the path ahead as you move, simulates physics and interactions, and aims to produce consistent, dynamic environments for applications ranging from robotics and animation to fictional and historical settings.

The prototype is delivered as a web app powered by Genie 3, Nano Banana Pro and Gemini. Users can sketch worlds with text or uploaded images, preview and refine scenes via World Sketching and Nano Banana Pro, choose character perspectives, traverse environments that generate ahead in real time, remix gallery creations or use a randomizer for inspiration, and download videos of their explorations.
