Prince William, Kate Middleton's World Cup 2026 plans revealed
Royal reporter Emily Nash says the Prince and Princess of Wales have no current plans to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 in New York City. She noted there has been a lot of talk but no invitation has surfaced, so she doubts it will happen. Nash, who joined Middleton on her Italy tour after the princess announced she was in remission, said travel has been challenging for Middleton following her battle with cancer.
As William put it, these trips 'take a lot out of you,' and being on 'send and receive the whole time' requires giving 110 percent while facing intense scrutiny. It remains possible William could appear if England reached the final, Nash suggested, pointing to his role as president of the Football Association and his close personal friendships with players.
She added that a U.S. trip by Middleton would be 'a huge moment,' given the warm reception the couple have received in America. Whether their children would accompany them depends on pacing and approvals by the Royal Visits Committee and the government, Nash said.
