Prime Video's 107-Minute Action Thriller Falls to New 8-Part Superhero Smash
Upon its May 20 release, Prime Video's newest 107-minute action thriller shot to the top of the platform's charts. The film continues the Jack Ryan story that ended in 2023 and stars John Krasinski, but its overall dominance has now been overtaken. That distinction belongs to Spider-Noir, an eight-part superhero series that arrived on May 27 and stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, an aging private investigator and superhero in 1930s New York who wrestles with his past.
Set in an alternate universe, the show explores a darker, more morally ambiguous take on the Spider-Man mythos. Spider-Noir is currently Prime Video's most popular series and the platform's most popular title overall, topping Off Campus, Jack Ryan: Ghost War, The Boys, Citadel and It's Not Like That, per Flix Patrol.
