Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set features 30 Pikachu variants

To mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, a new trading card set will arrive worldwide on Sept. 16 and introduces a new rarity with a special tactile finish. The collection includes six special holofoil cards, with fan favorites such as Mew and Mewtwo among them, and debuts the Futuristic rare — illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN with vibrant visuals evocative of hope toward an unknown future.

Pikachu takes center stage in an unusual way: every pack contains one of 30 possible Pikachu variants, each drawn by a different artist. Prolific TCG artist Tomokazu Komiya will release his first standalone Pikachu card, and other artists on the roster include OKACHEKE and Atsuko Nishida among many more.

A trailer shows a range of cards, including sleepy Eeveelutions and Pokémon depicted during different moments throughout daytime and nighttime. Artists visible in the preview include 0313, Amelicart, Aspara, Yuu Nishida, Whisker, Iori Suzuki, and 5BanGraphics.
