Pokémon 30th Anniversary TCG Set Revealed; Every Pack Features Pikachu
To mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary in 2026, The Pokémon Company will release a special Celebration set for the trading card game that will launch internationally on September 16, with further drops through the rest of 2026. The Japanese version, called Celebration Collection, will come in six-card booster packs and will include one of 30 different Pikachu cards in every pack.
All cards in those packs will be foils, so there won’t be any bulk cards. The set was first teased on February 27 during a brief, vague segment of Pokémon Presents that showed images from across three decades and two garish cards featuring Mew and Mewtwo, which prompted speculation about reprints.
The collection will include 30 classic cards bearing a special “30th” stamp, upgraded to foil where appropriate, and yes, a reprint of the Base Set Charizard is among them.
