Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is full of small historical details, and one player set out to answer a simple question about Kuttenberg's main fountain. In the game Henry himself asks, "A fountain? Where does the water come from? Here in the middle of the city," which prompted YouTuber Any Austin to try to find a clear source.

Austin found nothing obvious inside the town walls, and exploring the surrounding countryside only deepened the mystery when he discovered an aqueduct flowing out of Kuttenberg rather than into it. The game does include the real-world feature St. Adelbert's Spring a short way south-west of the fort; it exists in the settlement but doesn't appear to feed the fountain, instead heading toward another local stream.

With in-game evidence limited, Austin spoke to Warhorse staff, including designers and communications director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, who brought in historical consultant Joanna Nowak.
