Planet Zoo 2 shows how to manage new aquariums and aviaries
Planet Zoo 2, the successor to Frontier Development's 2019 management sim, revealed a gameplay trailer at the PC Gaming Show that showcases new tools and animals. The biggest additions are fishes—the plural used for multiple species of fish—and aviaries, so you can nurture land, sea, and air.
You can build both saltwater and freshwater aquariums to house turtles, pufferfish, and ocean sunfish. The trailer shows divers entering tanks to clean up and keep the fish healthy while guests watch the marine life swim about. Aviaries can be tall, wide, netted areas for white-tailed sea eagles and other flying birds.
You can give them jangly toys and eventually release them into wild nature reserves, a feature that highlights conservation work as well as entertainment. The game displays bars that fill up as you meet the needs of the wildlife, with each species having different requirements, making enclosure design the core challenge.
