Peter Serafinowicz to play Peeves in HBO's Harry Potter reboot

Warner Bros. and HBO Max have cast Peter Serafinowicz as Peeves the Poltergeist in the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series.

Peeves was a notable supporting character in all seven original Harry Potter books, but he did not appear in the eight live-action movies released between 2001 and 2011.

At the start of the story, Peeves has already been at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for about 1,000 years and is known for his penchant for causing mischief and chaos throughout the school.
