Peter Reid said Harry Kane will 'half want to come back' to the Premier League once his Bayern Munich adventure ends and suggested the striker would look good in Everton blue. Kane left Tottenham in 2023 to try to lift his trophy curse and has since won the Super Cup and DFB-Pokal, scoring 146 times in 147 appearances for Bayern, including a career-best 61 goals in 2025-26; his contract runs to 2027.

Reid highlighted Kane’s all-round qualities: he scores and creates, finds space, drops deep and is hard to mark. He called Kane 'top drawer' and said the striker will have a crucial role as England chase World Cup success, while expressing concern about the defence and naming France as favourites.

A range of futures has been mooted for Kane — fresh terms in Munich, a move to MLS that could open the door to an NFL career, or a return to English football. Reid made his comments at a World Cup-themed auction run by BUDDS.
