Persona 4 Revival's combat looks splashier and easier — concern over dungeons
When Atlus announced its remake of Persona 4 (or more accurately, of Persona 4 Golden), many welcomed the news—partly for Kanji Tatsumi in 4K—but there were hopes the studio would smooth out a few peccadilloes in the original, notably the dungeons. In P4 and P4G those areas were a slog: procedurally generated corridors that ran for around ten floors each.
The recent Persona 4 Revival Broadcast offers only brief glimpses, but Yukiko's Castle and the Bathhouse appear to remain the many-floors-of-corridors affairs of the original games. Atlus may have added more events and NPC dialogue to spice up the grind, much as it did in Persona 3 Reload, but the design looks familiar to anyone who has spent a lot of time with Persona 4.
Combat, by contrast, has seen a clear overhaul.
