Almost exactly a year ago, Persona 4's remake first appeared at an Xbox Games Showcase, though the trailer showed little more than the protagonist wandering a largely empty Inaba Shopping District and a few other depopulated locations, leaving the impression the project was in early stages.

More recently, fans noticed that Persona 4 Revival has received an ESRB rating on its Xbox store page, which suggests there’s enough of the game to be officially rated. The rating surfaced shortly before the June 7 Xbox Games Showcase, making further P4R news at that event seem likely.

Looking at Atlus’s recent pattern, the company announced Persona 3 Reload in June 2023 and released it in February 2024; that title became the studio’s fastest-selling game. It’s reasonable to speculate a similar timeline could be followed for Persona 4 Revival, with a possible release around February 2027, though any announcement this weekend might not be the full reveal.
