The Way isn't just a nifty catchphrase for Din Djarin; it adds 'never showing your face to an enemy' to its list of rules. Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian has already broken that creed on multiple – albeit necessary – occasions, and The Mandalorian and Grogu unmasked the character for longer than at any point across the three Disney Plus seasons.

Star Wars Holocron's tally puts Din Djarin unmasked for 270 seconds in The Mandalorian and Grogu, compared with 259 seconds across seasons 1–3. Towards the movie's third act Din is pulled in front of the Hutt Twins and his helmet is removed. "When we got to that part, all I can say is that it made perfect sense, and it was what I was hoping would be the reason," Pascal told Empire.

"If I were to pitch something, I would say, ‘The only thing that makes sense is...’ And that’s exactly it. He filled that blank.
