Paramount has launched a new games division, Paramount Games Studio, to oversee the company’s video game development. Its first confirmed project is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, being made by PlatinumGames, and the new group includes two internal studios, including the one led by Amy Hennig that is developing Black Panther and Captain America for Marvel.

The unit brings together the two Skydance game studios and the franchise licensing group that handled IP such as TMNT and SpongeBob. Shawn Kittelsen, head of creative and production, said the mission is not just to license Paramount’s catalogue: "We're going to make games ourselves internally." He added they will "find co-development partners who are going to make games that we will fund and publish and that we will control," building a portfolio that mixes internal teams, external teams, and licensing.
