Paramount announced at Summer Game Fest that it is launching Paramount Games Studio and said a Yellowstone video game could be on the table. The studio also revealed a collaboration with PlatinumGames on an adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, whose trailer offered a brief look at a grim, futuristic New York.

Shawn Kittelsen, head of creative and production at Paramount Games Studio, said the "core four" properties the new division is targeting are Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and SpongeBob SquarePants. He also confirmed interest in the "Sheridanverse," noting, "All of the Yellowstone and Yellowstone-adjacent titles, Landman, Tulsa King, these are all priorities for us." Kittelsen pointed to Sheridan's spy thriller Lioness as another property of interest and said Paramount Games will be careful about which partners it chooses.

"We are not brand managers, and we are not IP value extractors," he said.
