Paqueta delighted as Neymar returns to Brazil training ahead of Scotland
Neymar has returned to first-team training as Brazil prepare for their final Group C match against Scotland. The forward had been sidelined with a calf injury and was left out of the matchday squads for the 1-1 draw with Morocco and the 3-0 win over Haiti, but his presence on the training pitch has lifted the camp.
Lucas Paqueta said the squad were pleased to see their talisman back. "We're all very happy to see him training and back on the pitch with us. Neymar is a very important player for the Brazilian national team," he added, noting that the attacker "has an extraordinary history with this shirt and he can still help us a lot." Brazil are still coping with the absence of Raphinha, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury and whose availability for the remainder of the tournament remains uncertain.
Paqueta stressed the group were supporting him during his rehabilitation: "Right now he has the support of the whole group.
