Palworld lead: no bad blood between rival survival games
The dusty, wet, and unfriendly grime of a survival game doesn't seem like the perfect place to meet a nice acquaintance, but Pocketpair head of publishing and communications John "Bucky" Buckley suggests it might be. Buckley writes on Twitter, "So many people view survival games as competition to each other, and think there is bad blood." He adds that "actually, we all get along really well because we all have something in common!
We love survival games!" Pocketpair developers apparently get along with teams behind titles like Rust, Valheim, and Ark: Survival. Ten of these popular survival games make up the Super Survival Summer bundle on Steam; the entire package costs $148.40, a 25% discount from the $197.90 those 10 games would have originally cost together.
That bundle isn't the deepest discount in the Steam Summer Sale running now through July 9 — for example, the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Complete Bundle is down from $50.96 to $5.06 — but $148.40 remains a tempting price for 10 big-name games.
