Oyarzabal's sixth straight goal as Spain beat Peru 3-1
Spain wrapped up their final preparations ahead of the World Cup with a 3-1 friendly victory over Peru in Puebla, as Mikel Oyarzabal extended his run by scoring in a sixth successive international match. He opened the scoring after two minutes with a fierce strike from the edge of the area.
Barcelona midfielder Pedri made it 2-0 when he tapped in from a Ferran Torres cross, and a second-half error by Peru goalkeeper Pedro Gallese, brought on by pressure from Yeremy Pino, sealed the win. Jairo Velez struck a late consolation for Peru. Players and staff spoke of momentum after the performance.
Oyarzabal said: "I'm happy and I try to help in any way I can. What has made things go well for us is that as a group we know what we have to do and we trust each other." Pedri added: "It was a match to build momentum, and we've managed to do just that.
