Owain Rhys Davies Dead: 'Twin Peaks' Actor Dies Suddenly Aged 44
Owain Rhys Davies, who played FBI Agent Wilson on Twin Peaks, has died at the age of 44. His family confirmed his death on May 30, 2026, when his brother Rhodri shared a statement on Instagram saying the actor "passed suddenly, naturally, and peacefully," and noting that questions about the circumstances remain.
Twin Peaks, co-created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, first aired in 1990 and was revived in 2017 as Twin Peaks: The Return. Davies appeared in three episodes of the revival and was warmly received by fans for a memorable turn as part of the federal investigation team, frequently at the receiving end of shouts from Lynch's hearing-impaired Deputy Director Gordon Cole.
The Twin Peaks ensemble has lost a significant number of members over the years; the long gap between the original run and the revival meant many performers have since died, including the show's co-creator and director, Lynch, who died in 2025 at 78. A Twin Peaks fan account shared a photo of Davies with Lynch and thanked him for his contribution to the series.
