Overwatch is now free-to-play, and Blizzard has introduced a new tier of cosmetic called Ultra. These skins add sound effects and visual flairs similar to a customizable Mythic skin but do not include options to change colors or some parts of the outfit. The first Ultra releases are Nyan Cafe skins for Kiriko and Sierra, priced at 3,500 Overwatch Coins each ($35).

By comparison, Legendary skins typically cost 1,900 coins ($19). Ultra skins retain the silhouette-altering costume changes of Legendary skins and add a visual and sound effect when you kill an enemy. Bundles that include emotes and a highlight intro cost $45 each, $69 for both Kiriko and Sierra, and $99 for a themed bundle with additional characters; buying everything separately would total $199.

Many players say the extra effects do not justify the higher price, drawing comparisons to past event bundles, the $40 seasonal Ultimate Battle Pass, and cheaper options in other games.
