Overwatch's next hero Shion is a damage-class Hashimoto leader

Blizzard revealed Shion as Overwatch's next hero in a new trailer that pits her against Sojourn and places her with Vendetta for Talon. She arrives in season 3 on June 16. Shion is a Damage-class leader of the Hashimoto clan, rivals of the Shimada, and a dual-wielding gunslinger who wears an oni mask.

The cinematic shows she is barely human, rides a motorcycle and draws a blade for close-range combat; whether that blade is a boosted melee like Genji's or a different part of her kit remains to be seen. Unlike in Sierra's reveal trailer, Shion wasn't completely wiped out by her enemies.

The End of the Line trailer mostly serves as a setup for Shion's place in the game's story. She is Overwatch's 52nd hero and the seventh released in 2026, part of Blizzard's relaunch promise to release one new hero every season.
