OpenAI frontier models and Codex now available on AWS

OpenAI frontier models and Codex are now generally available on AWS, offering a new path for millions of AWS customers to build with OpenAI through the platform they already use to run their business. For enterprises, this removes a major barrier to adoption by making it easier to get frontier AI into production within existing security, compliance, procurement, billing, and governance workflows.

Customers can bring OpenAI capabilities into AWS environments with the controls their teams already trust, helping them move faster from evaluation to real deployment. OpenAI on AWS gives enterprises access to frontier capabilities and a familiar AWS operating model.

Codex on Amazon Bedrock brings OpenAI’s software engineering agent—used by more than 5 million people every week—into AWS to help teams write, review, debug, and modernize code in the environments where they already build and ship, and the offerings are available in both Commercial and GovCloud regions.
