From a one-night-stand swipe to marriage and two babies

Sofia met León through a mutual friend and wasn’t looking for a relationship. One night she was scrolling for a one‑night stand and liked a story he’d posted; he suggested going for a wine and she replied that she could go that night. Their friend warned that he was a club owner with a reputation for sleeping around, and she told herself she wasn’t planning on marrying him.

Three and a half years later they are married with two babies. Sofia says León wanted to take things slow, and their first real conversation came over breakfast the next morning. She told him she loved him after two weeks, and four months in he flew to Italy to meet her family; she became pregnant on that trip.

After the birth she felt pressure to be intimate again while also feeling exhausted by pregnancy and breastfeeding. She has been pregnant or breastfeeding for three years, and the physical changes — darker, longer nipples, some hair loss — have made it hard to feel desirable.
