Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has urged his old club to sign Marcus Rashford this summer, arguing Spurs could land a bargain as Manchester United look to reduce their wage bill. O'Hara suggested the move would strengthen Roberto De Zerbi's squad as the manager seeks to return the club to their rightful place in the Premier League after narrowly avoiding relegation last term.

Speaking on talkSPORT, O'Hara called for Spurs to act and cited Rashford's recent loan spells, noting he has not played for United since December 2024 and was loaned to Aston Villa in February 2025 before moving to Barcelona in July 2025. "I would love nothing more than for us to break the bank with wages and get him over the line.

It ain't going to cost you loads of money – what, £30m, probably?" he said. Rashford has two years remaining on his United contract but appears surplus to head coach Michael Carrick's plans, despite a club record that includes 138 goals and 79 assists in 426 appearances.
