Four Expedition 74 crew members took an off-duty day on Friday to relax ahead of a robotics repair spacewalk planned for next week. NASA flight engineers Jessica Meir and Chris Williams, the two spacewalkers scheduled to exit the orbital outpost on Tuesday, June 30, along with flight engineers Jack Hathaway and Sophie Adenot, cleared their schedules and began a three-day weekend.

They spent the time connecting with family, viewing Earth from the cupola, watching movies, playing games, and keeping up light housekeeping and daily workouts to maintain muscle and bone health in microgravity. On Monday Williams and Meir will complete spacewalk preparations, checking tethers, pistol grip tools, cameras and other gear, inspecting their spacesuits for air and pressure leaks, and staging the suits inside the Quest airlock.
