Noah Brown confirms he identified brother Matt’s body

Noah Brown said he identified his brother Matthew after the eldest Brown sibling's body was pulled from a Washington river. In an Instagram video Saturday, the youngest of the seven Brown siblings said he had been searching with groups and that they located Matt at 3:27 p.m.

He described helping haul the body up from the bank and waiting for sheriffs and the coroner. "I identified it as Matthew," Noah said, adding that Matthew's ID and Social Security card were on him and that he was able to visually identify him. He also told fans, "I’m sorry it came down to this." Bear Brown later said in a TikTok video that Matt died by suicide, saying the injury "does look like the injury is self-inflicted" while noting the coroner must confirm.

Bear said Matt had struggled with alcohol and drugs and had posted an alarming YouTube livestream earlier this month in which he was nude and appeared to carry a gun.
