Nintendo Direct June 2026: Key Switch and Switch 2 announcements

Following Summer Game Fest, Nintendo presented a lengthy Direct showcasing new and upgraded games for the Switch and Switch 2. The stream mixed full remakes, native ports, sequels, and updates across long-running franchises and indie projects. Highlights included Rhythm Heaven Groove, which arrives on Switch July 2 with 80 new mini-games and over 30 multiplayer modes, Capcom’s Onimusha: Way of the Sword for Switch 2 on September 25, and Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Switch 2 on October 9.

Big Walk from the Untitled Goose Game team lands on Switch 2 August 4, and One Piece: Grand Gourmet comes to both systems on October 23 with mouse support on Switch 2. Pokémon Pokopia will get a free Dive update plus an expansion pass, with the first paid update, Bubbly Basin, arriving in August.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is headed to Switch 2 on September 17, while Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet launches in spring 2027.
