One of Nicole Kidman's most underrated films, Stoker, is now streaming on HBO Max as part of its June update. Directed by Park Chan-wook and also starring Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode, the 2013, 99-minute horror thriller was largely overlooked on release. After a family tragedy, mother Evelyn and daughter India are left to navigate their grief.

When Richard's brother Charlie appears at the funeral and stays indefinitely, Evelyn grows fascinated while India grows suspicious. As India digs deeper she falls under Charlie's spell and ultimately discovers he may not be as harmless as he appears. Stoker flew under the radar at first but has since built a cult following.

It grossed just over $12 million worldwide against a $12 million production budget and holds a 70% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. Kidman's relatively small role is often cited as one of her best in the thriller genre, and she steals several scenes while Wasikowska also stands out as India.
