Nicolas Cage names Andrew Garfield his favorite live-action Spider-Man

Nicolas Cage has named Andrew Garfield his favorite live-action Spider-Man. "I thought Andrew Garfield was a really great Spider-Man," Cage told Complex. "I thought he did a terrific job. He's a marvelous actor. For all the younger Peter Parker Spider-Men, he was the one that I thought was really quite something to watch.

I would put Garfield as, in my view, the best Spider-Man in cinema." That choice may surprise some fans. Many tend to list Tobey Maguire as the GOAT, with Tom Holland coming in second, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 remains widely disliked. Invincible creator Robert Kirkman even went as far as to trash the movie during press for the Prime Video show's latest season.

Cage has long had a deep love for superheroes. He legally changed his name from Nicolas Coppola to Nicolas Cage after Luke Cage, pursued a Tim Burton Superman project that never materialized, and went on to play Ghost Rider across three pre-MCU movies.
