During a Friday break from Brazil's World Cup preparations in New Jersey, the 34-year-old Santos forward visited New York City for a high-end shopping trip. The objective was a stop at an exclusive boutique to add a new timepiece to his collection. He was seen at the Jacob & Co flagship store, where he finalised the purchase of a watch valued at approximately $1 million.

The brand's founder, Jacob Arabo, greeted Neymar in person; Arabo posted on social media: "A long-time friend of the brand, Neymar managed to find time to stop by the New York boutique to personally buy a Jacob Arabo watch before entering the world's biggest stage this summer." The acquisition adds to a collection that is estimated to be worth well over £1.6 million.

Neymar has frequently been seen wearing rare pieces, from diamond-encrusted tourbillons to custom designs, and industry experts say his wrist-wear includes items exceeding £1.6 million in value.
