New Hellblade Game Titled 'Senua' to Launch Next Year
Ninja Theory has announced the next game in the Hellblade series, Senua. Coming sometime next year, the studio has dropped the “Hellblade” name in favor of a simpler title.
In an interview, the developers said the new title format alludes to a new direction for the series. Senua will feature more in-depth combat and puzzle solving, shifting the game toward a more action-packed experience.
Players will have options in how they engage enemies, and exploration will be emphasized, offering rewards to those who stray off the beaten path.
The Hellblade games are known for immersive mocap performances and audio design. Hellblade II launched in 2024, and the team said Senua will be twice as big, with a 2027 release date that represents a quick turnaround for a larger, more technically evolved game.
