New GTA 4 swingset glitch found after 18 years

A streamer playing Grand Theft Auto 4 watched their character get flung into outer space after crashing their motorcycle, an unexpected occurrence more than 18 years after the game’s release.

GTA streamer Gtamen discovered a "swing glitch" or "swingset glitch" — parks tend to be where it happens the most — that nobody else had found before.

He was riding his bike down a pier when he drove into a tight spot between a gate and a pole; as soon as he got close, his character was instantly killed and catapulted into the sky. Gtamen asked his chat, "What the fuck was that?" then tried it again. "Oh, it's consistent," he said as his character took flight once more.

Most notably, the character wasn't killed the second time, which is rare if you're not doing it in a car. That doesn't necessarily make it particularly useful for anything, but it's a neat occurrence that other swing glitch locations don't always offer.
