The August 2026 issue of V Jump, due June 19, offers the first gameplay peek at Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, which is slated to arrive in 2027. Fans unofficially translated portions of the magazine pages from Japanese, with posts by accounts such as @DbsHype sharing the details.

Revealed mechanics include "soul assist" and "soul change," described as borrowing the power of legendary warriors—either summoning them into combat or letting their spirits boost the player character's abilities. The pages even suggest players can summon Goku's spirit.

An "awoken skill" will allow characters to transform into Super Saiyan, and the game lets fighters switch between distinct battle styles, each with its own fighting stance, alongside the series' customary character creation system. The translation may not be fully accurate.
