Netflix rarely returns to a limited series unless there is another story to be told, and The Monster of Florence has now become one of those cases. The Italian thriller is moving forward with a new installment that does not simply stretch the first season but turns the same criminal nightmare from another angle.

Production has already begun, and Netflix says the new chapter will revisit the case "through a new lens." The new episodes will focus on Pietro Pacciani and the so-called "Snack Buddies" lead. Pietro Pacciani, a Tuscan farm worker, became one of the most recognizable names attached to the Monster of Florence case.

He was convicted in 1994 in connection with seven of the eight double murders, later acquitted on appeal in 1996, and died in 1998 before a retrial could take place. The original four-episode series premiered on Netflix on Oct. 22, 2025, after launching from the Venice Film Festival.
