Netflix Unleashes a Mysterious Threat in Sci-Fi Thriller 'The Last House' Trailer

The Last House is an unsettling sci‑fi thriller from director Louis Leterrier, the filmmaker behind The Incredible Hulk (2008), Fast X, Now You See Me and the first two Transporter movies. The story opens with a seemingly ordinary family of four who wake up one day and find they cannot leave their house.

At first the family supports each other and even dances to pass the hours, only to discover that apparently everyone in the world is also stuck inside. By Day 1,183 their lives have changed: the outside is overgrown and bears wander the streets, and the cause of the confinement remains unclear.

Greta Lee plays Riley, the mother, with Wagner Moura as Jason, the father. Riley Chung and Noah Alexander Sosnowski portray the couple’s children, and other cast members include Emma Ho, Gabriel Barbosa and Sam Lerner. Lee starred in Past Lives, which was nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 2024; Moura was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in 2026 for The Secret Agent and previously played Pablo Escobar in Narcos.
